Only God can purify our hearts

Jesus said that out of the heart come the evil things we say and do. We have been deceived by mass media into believing that our hearts are a pure, good place and that we should follow them. But the heart, being the seat of our selfish emotions and will, needs to be purified and “operated on” by God.
